Design House

Spaces that foster beauty and Well=Being™

Good design is not only visual. It is how a space functions, flows, and makes you feel.

At Alaya Design House, we design environments that perform — for the people who live and work within them, for the communities around them, and for the places that hold them.

A design practice built on a different premise.

Most design begins with aesthetics. We begin with listening.

Before a single material is selected or a layout proposed, we spend time understanding — the client's values, the way they move through their day, the experiences they want their spaces to hold, and the principles they want their environment to reflect back to those immersed in the space.

Alaya Design House was founded by Kimberly Jamerson, a designer and student of neuroarchitecture who has spent decades studying the relationship between built environments and human consciousness. Her work — and the practice she has built around her — is grounded in a belief that beautiful spaces and spaces that genuinely support well-being are not in tension. They are the same thing, when designed with intention.

We work with private clients, luxury developers, and wellness hospitality brands who share that belief — and who are ready for a design partner that brings both creative excellence and ethical depth to every engagement.

Principles, not formulas.

Every Alaya Design House project draws from a set of principles that we consider non-negotiable — not rules imposed from the outside, but lenses we bring to every decision.

WELL=BEING™ AS THE MEASURE

Every material, spatial arrangement, light condition, and sourcing decision is evaluated against a single question: does this foster well-being? For the person inhabiting the space. For the people who made what fills it. For the place where the project lives.

NEURO-ARCHITECTURE & SPACIAL INTELLIGENCE

Neuroarchitecture informs how we think about proportion, light, texture, flow, and sensory experience. We design spaces that affect the nervous system — that create conditions for calm, clarity, creativity, and connection — not by accident but by design.

CONSCIOUS
CO-CREATION

We do not arrive with a predetermined aesthetic. We arrive as collaborators. Our clients are active participants in the design process, not passive recipients of it. The result is always more coherent — and more deeply theirs — than anything we could have designed alone.

LOCAL SOURCING & REGENERATIVE STWEARDSHIP

Wherever a project is located, we source as close to it as possible. Local artisans, regional materials, makers whose craft is rooted in the culture of that place. This is both a design philosophy and an ethical commitment — one that keeps extraction low and belonging high.

FF&E ROOTED IN THE ARTISAN MARKETPLACE

Our access to Alaya's curated Artisan Marketplace — a living network of makers across the Americas — means every project can be furnished and detailed with objects that carry real cultural provenance, genuine craftsmanship, and enduring quality. No generic sourcing. No objects without origin.

Two distinct engagements. One standard of care.
